The Salvation Army’s Mobile Clinic recently welcomed special guests from the USA when the team of doctors and their social worker visited the village of Braviceni. Salvation Army officers from Florida, Commissioners Raymond and Merlyn Cooper enjoyed being part of the team for the day!
On 19th September, Budesti was celebrating its ‘Village Fête’. Personalities from St. Petersburg, city twinned with Budesti, came to participate in that event. The whole day was organised by Mrs Nina Costiug, the village’s Mayor; she distributed new toy- keyboards donated by one of the Morrisons supermarkets’ chain (UK), in the presence of representatives from the Salvation Army in Moldova who had received the toys.
During the summer, 99 children mainly from marginalised families and 63 youth coming from all different parts of the country enjoyed some great days in a camp at Vadul-Lui-Voda. A minimum amount was requested from each family and the rest of the money needed for these camps was funded by different sponsors in Europe and the USA.
