The Salvation Army has recently received certificates from people who have benefited from our ministry. One was for our Mobile clinic outreach; the other one was from the Moldovan Veterans Association. The latter was presented at our Divisional Headquarters and was given in appreciation of our Humanitarian Aid and help to the war veterans of Moldova.
At the end of September, a great number of Salvation Army officers working in five different countries in Eastern Europe met in Chisinau for meetings and seminars led by special guests from Moscow and the USA. They all stayed in the capital city for three days.
The Salvation Army’s Mobile Clinic recently welcomed special guests from the USA when the team of doctors and their social worker visited the village of Braviceni. Salvation Army officers from Florida, Commissioners Raymond and Merlyn Cooper enjoyed being part of the team for the day!
On 19th September, Budesti was celebrating its ‘Village Fête’. Personalities from St. Petersburg, city twinned with Budesti, came to participate in that event. The whole day was organised by Mrs Nina Costiug, the village’s Mayor; she distributed new toy- keyboards donated by one of the Morrisons supermarkets’ chain (UK), in the presence of representatives from the Salvation Army in Moldova who had received the toys.
